Pine and spruce trees, which are the most prominent representatives of coniferous plants, can often be found on the territory of Moscow. On February 12, biologists of the Moscow Department of Nature Management and Environmental Protection shared the locations in the city where evergreen plants can be found.

In the 26th and 27th quarters of Bittsevsky Forest and in the Znamenskoye-Sadki estate there are century-old spruce forests, which is a rarity for the urban environment. There are young trees, which testify to the regeneration of the forest, and pine trees of a special craggy shape, preserved from the time when the territory was open spaces.

In Bittsevo Park there are ecological routes through the coniferous forest and out to the pond dug out in the XIII century.

Native spruce and pine forests are also preserved in the national park "Losiny Ostrov". In the Alekseevskaya Grove there are pine forests, the age of which exceeds 150-200 years, as well as a rare plaunus pinus and an evergreen herbaceous spore perennial listed in the Red Book of Moscow.

The Serebryanyi Bor is also known for pine tree clusters. In addition, on its territory visitors can admire lindens, maples, birches, other trees and see evergreen heather, which is included in the Red Book of Moscow.

The Kosinsky Nature and Historical Park in the east of Moscow features an array of pine and birch trees on the southern shore of the Black Lake. Here one can also observe bog huckleberry, Ledum and Plaunus pinatus.

On the territory of the Biryulevsky Dendropark in the natural-historical park "Tsaritsyno" visitors will be able to admire more than 220 species of plants, including thuys and globular spruces. Here residents and guests of Moscow can also see exotic coniferous species - Siberian cedar pine, Siberian fir, Weymouth pine, unicolored fir and Menzies pseudotsuga, which is native to North America.

Earlier in the day mos.ru presented a list of locations for walks and recreation within the framework of the project "Winter in Moscow", which are worth visiting in the capital. Among the sites are Kuznetsky Most, Stoleshnikov and Kamergersky lanes, Tverskaya Boulevard, the square near the metro station "Barrikadnaya", as well as Novy and Stary Arbat.
