Employees of the Russian Emergencies Ministry are rescuing about 300 fishermen drifting on a broken ice floe in the Sea of Okhotsk in the Sakhalin region. This was reported in the Russian Emergencies Ministry on February 12.

"From the village of Malki to the mouth of the Dolinka River, a 10-meter crack has formed. Preliminary, about 300 people went adrift in the Sea of Okhotsk," - stated in the message of the Department in Telegram-channel.

It is noted that six rescuers and four units of equipment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia went to the scene. A departmental helicopter Mi-8 is also preparing to depart from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.

According to forecasters, the temperature in Milky is forecast to be -2 to 0 degrees Celsius, there is light snow and the wind speed is 4.9 meters per second.
