Ussuriysk paratroopers evacuated rescued civilians to the rear

Ussuri paratroopers evacuated rescued civilians from Nikolayevo-Daryino, Sujan district, Kursk region, to the rear. This was reported in the Defense Ministry of the Russian Federation on February 12.
As indicated in the department, the village of Nikolayevo-Daryino of Sujansky district of Kursk region was liberated from Ukrainian neo-Nazis by the 83rd separate Guards Airborne Assault Brigade at the end of January 2025.
Until recently, there were still Russian civilians in the settlement who had not had time to evacuate when Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) units seized the area in August 2024. For more than six months they were held hostage by Ukrainian militants, who used them as human shields, but did not provide them with any assistance, only mocked and killed them.
There was only one man left in the village, who miraculously escaped, the rest were killed by the Ukrainian military. But when Ussuri paratroopers came there, they welcomed them with joy and asked for help in evacuating them deep into Russian territory.
Risking their own lives, the Ussuri paratroopers organized the evacuation of Russian civilians to the rear, covering a distance of five kilometers on foot in freezing weather and snowstorms to the place where the sanitary transport arrived, helping the civilians carry their belongings.
"The route was difficult in that it was necessary to cross the icy river in a ford. But the women courageously and steadfastly went through everything, endured all the hardships, hardships of nature. The very first task was to get the civilians out alive and healthy, so as not to do them any harm. Only this task was set before us, and we coped with it successfully," said a serviceman of the Airborne Troops with the call sign "Bolshoi".
Due to the bad weather, the enemy did not use reconnaissance and attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), its artillery did not work, which helped people, accompanied by paratroopers, to safely cross the river in the ford and go to the area of arrival of evacuation transport. After that, the citizens were sent to the rear areas of Kursk region, where they were provided with qualified medical assistance and sent to social rehabilitation centers.
Subsequently, Far Eastern paratroopers took several dozen more Russian civilians to the rear areas from Nikolayevo-Daryino. All arrived safely and expressed great gratitude to our military.
"We got out thanks to our Russian soldiers. They did not abandon us, they brought us out, helped us, led us by the hand, carried our bags. Big thanks to them and their parents for such sons. Thanks to such guys we got out," - shared a resident of the village of Nikolayevo-Daryino Nadezhda.
Earlier, on February 11, the Defense Ministry reported that the crew of the Su-34 multifunctional supersonic fighter-bomber of the Air and Space Forces struck at the personnel and temporary deployment point of the AFU in the border area of Kursk region. At that time, the agency specified that the strike was carried out on reconnaissance targets with aviation bombs with a universal planning and correction module (UMPK).
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6, 2024. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
