More than 60 thousand "smart" lanterns were installed in Moscow last year. This was reported on Tuesday, February 11, by Deputy Mayor of the capital on housing and public utilities and landscaping Pyotr Biryukov.

According to him, since 2018, the city has been implementing a program, within the framework of which special controllers are equipped with existing lighting poles. He emphasized that high-quality lighting is a prerequisite for a comfortable urban environment. The total number of "smart" lanterns in the capital today is almost 390 thousand, reports the agency of city news "Moscow".

The use of controllers helps to save electricity and allows to provide quality lighting of streets, highways, yards and public spaces, writes "Moscow 24".
