A nutritionist pointed out the harm of sugary sodas to bones and teeth


Nutriciologist Irina Pisareva told about the negative impact on health of sweet sodas.
In a conversation with News.ru on February 11, she noted that sweet soda has a bad effect on bone density. The specialist emphasized that regular consumption of sweet carbonated drinks can worsen bone health and cause premature aging.
Also soda has a bad effect on teeth: acid and sugar in its composition contribute to the destruction of enamel, as well as create a favorable environment for bacteria, writes kp.ru.
In addition, the use of these drinks increases the total caloric content of the diet, which leads to overweight and obesity, reports 360.ru.
On this day Pravda.Ru wrote that in 2024, sales of carbonated drinks without sugar increased significantly, achieving growth of 49% in monetary terms and 22.7% in kind. Analysts note that this growth followed a serious drop in demand for sugar-free drinks in 2023.
