Ka-52M helicopter launched a missile strike on AFU equipment in the Kursk border area


A Ka-52M helicopter has carried out a mission to support a ground group of troops in the border area of Kursk Region. The Russian Defense Ministry published footage of an army aviation crew destroying fire points of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on February 12.
The crew carried out a missile strike on armored, automotive equipment and personnel of the AFU hidden in a wooded area. According to the intelligence report, the enemy personnel and military equipment were destroyed.
The crew of the attack helicopter returned safely to the airfield. Army aviation in the course of the special military operation (SMO) performs the tasks of escorting convoys, destroying armored vehicles, delivering troops, military cargo, air support of units performing tasks within the framework of the special operation.
Earlier, on February 10, the Russian Defense Ministry showed footage of the Boomerang-10 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) units of the "North" group of troops during the destruction of small mobile groups of the AFU in the border area of Kursk Region.
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6, 2024. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
