Patriarch Kirill urged priests to fight the revival of neo-paganism

Priests need to fight against the revival of neo-paganism in the zone of the Special Military Operation (SMO). This was stated by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia on February 11.
"I would like to draw the attention of priests who visit the combat zone to the emergence of neo-pagan sentiments among some military men. It is known that many of you have not unsuccessfully worked to convince people to abandon pseudo-religious delusions," RIA Novosti quotes the patriarch as saying.
In his opinion, it is necessary to organize seminars or courses for those priests who plan to visit the NWO zone.
Patriarch Kirill also added that this practice is ridiculous. He called people who are engaged in the development of neo-paganism "weirdos".
Earlier, on January 7, 2024, Russian President Vladimir Putin after the Christmas service in the Church of the Great Martyr George the Victorious on Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow went to the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, where Patriarch Kirill, at his request, consecrated crosses and icons for servicemen in the special military operation zone.
