The probability of holding the vote in Ukraine is increasing, experts tell Izvestiya.

"If we proceed from the fact that elections are usually not scheduled in summer, then the decision to hold them may be taken in August-September. There are no technical problems for this, the infrastructure of election commissions in Ukraine has generally been preserved," political analyst Ivan Loshkarev shared.

Washington is likely to put pressure on Kiev to hold the vote.

"The idea with elections and ceasefire is hanging in the air. But, one way or another, Washington is pressing for now. The position of the Trump team is to conclude a ceasefire and arrange elections. Vladimir Zelensky does not need these elections, but he is completely dependent on the U.S., so his ability to resist is very limited," emphasized Deputy Director of the Institute of CIS countries Vladimir Zharikhin.
