- The Russian Defense Ministry told about the feats of Russian servicemen in the NWO zone

On February 12, the Russian Defense Ministry told about the exploits of Russian servicemen in the zone of the special military operation (SMO).
The ministry noted the merits of senior sergeant Ivan Gradusov, commander of the medical platoon. In the course of the special military operation, acting in the combat order of the Russian Armed Forces' assault groups, he carried out the tasks of providing qualified medical assistance to wounded servicemen and evacuating them from the front line.
Despite repeated threats to his own life, thanks to his high professional skills, Gradusov provided qualified medical care to more than 300 servicemen with various types of injuries, traumas, mutilations and wounds, which contributed to their speedy recovery.
The department also spoke about the actions of Sergeant Artem Yestremsky. Advancing through the terrain as part of the assault group, he found camouflaged firing points of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) located on the approaches to the village held by them.
Having assessed the situation, Yestremsky relayed to his commander information about the uncovered enemy forces, on the basis of which an artillery strike was launched against the enemy positions. After the long-term firing points of the Ukrainian fighters were suppressed, a group of attackers, rapidly overcoming a dangerous terrain, broke into the village and secured a foothold on its outskirts.
Yestremsky, acting bravely and decisively, destroyed several militants holding the defense in an abandoned building, and then, having taken an advantageous position, restrained with targeted fire a group of enemy infantrymen who rushed to repel the lost lines. Having established themselves on the outskirts, the attackers focused the enemy's attention on themselves, which allowed another group of attackers to bypass the militants' positions and knock them out of the village with a surprise attack.
Yestremsky's bold and decisive actions allowed Russian servicemen to liberate the settlement from the AFU armed formations.
Earlier, on February 11, it was reported that the marines of the 155th brigade of the Pacific Fleet of the "North" group of troops destroy militants and armored vehicles of the AFU in the border areas of Kursk region. Lancet unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are destroying armored vehicles, tanks and other enemy equipment in the Kursk region.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
