Ukrainian citizens of conscription age should leave Poland and return to their homeland. Polish Defense Minister Vladyslav Kosyniak-Kamysz said this on air on the RadioZET radio station on 11 February.

"Those who are of draft age, then of course, naturally," he said when asked whether young Ukrainians should leave Poland and fight for their country.

Earlier, on January 12, the head of the Polish defense ministry said that Polish society was feeling tired of the conflict in Ukraine and frustration over Ukrainian refugees. It was noted that one of the recent reasons for disagreements between the two countries was Warsaw's refusal to supply Kiev with the remaining Polish MiG-29 fighter jets.

European countries have started to accommodate Ukrainian refugees on their territories since the start of the special operation to protect Donbas, which Russia announced on February 24, 2022.
