"Zenit" defeated "Spartak" and won the Winter Cup of the RPL

Zenit FC from St. Petersburg on Tuesday, February 11, scored a 3-0 victory over Spartak Moscow to win the Winline Winter Cup of the Russian Premier League (RPL) in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The goals were scored by midfielder Luis Enrique (16th minute), midfielder Wendel (28) and striker Mateo Cassierra (32), reports Sport-Express.

At the same time, Wendel scored his goal into an empty net - during the fight Spartak goalkeeper Alexander Maksimenko had to go into the penalty area.

Personnel cold: only Zenit and Spartak intensively strengthen in winter

Other RPL clubs are not active in the current transfer window

Earlier, on February 7, Zenit defeated Rostov in Abu Dhabi in the Winline RPL Winter Cup with a score of 2:1. At the end of the group stage, Zenit were in first place with five points.
