Poland says Russian Su-24 violated the country's airspace

A Russian Su-24MR tactical reconnaissance aircraft violated Polish airspace due to a technical malfunction. This was reported by the Operational Command of the Armed Forces (AF) of the Republic on February 11.
"Duty Polish services controlling the airspace were in touch with the Russian side, which confirmed the violation of Polish airspace and reported that it occurred due to a failure of the navigation system of the Su-24MR aircraft," the agency wrote in social network X.
The incident took place in the eastern part of the Gulf of Gdansk in the Baltic Sea. The Russian aircraft violated the air borders of Poland to a maximum depth of 6.5 kilometers and stayed there for 1 minute and 12 seconds, the Operational Command specified.
The day before, on February 10, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland summoned the Russian ambassador because of the alleged violation of the country's airspace by a Russian aircraft. Earlier in the day, broadcaster Yle reported that a British spy plane flew in the country's airspace.
