In Britain, 176 World War II bombs were found in a playground

In the town of Wooler in the UK found 176 World War II bombs under a playground. This was reported on February 11 by the Daily Mail.
It is noted that at the site of the playground was planned to expand, however, on January 14, the work was stopped due to the fact that the first device was found at the site.
"Northumbria Police called in a bomb disposal team from Catterick Barracks in North Yorkshire, who found a further 175 bombs underground at Scotts Park. Experts confirmed the devices were training bombs that still contained a charge, which were removed for safe disposal," the publication writes.
Councillor Mark Mather, representing the Conservative Party said that he never thought he would have to deal with bomb disposal, "Gazeta.Ru" specified.
Work to clear the area continues, and experts do not rule out that other ammunition, including grenades and cartridges, may be found.
Earlier, on November 30 last year, about 9 thousand people were forced to evacuate in Germany because of the discovery of an unexploded 250-kilogram bomb made by the United States during World War II. It was specified that the shell was found on the construction site of the Hannover Higher Medical School. In the afternoon, the explosive device was successfully defused, both detonators were detonated on site after extraction.
