Russians will be offered a lesson on online safety in English

"Avito" and online English school Skyeng have developed a joint lesson for the World Safer Internet Day, which this year is celebrated on February 11.
According to the press service of Avito, during the lesson students will learn about the basic rules of safe shopping online. During the lesson they will tell about the main features of classifides, what is ford and social engineering, what technologies protect against them, what to focus on when choosing a seller in the network and how to avoid misunderstandings when interacting on the Internet.
Avito experts have prepared materials on the basics of digital hygiene, which describes the main tools of protection. Based on this data, Skyeng has developed an English lesson that is suitable for students with different levels of language proficiency.
"Avito invests 5 billion rubles annually in the creation and development of security tools. But only in combination with educational programs these investments can give the maximum effect. The peculiarity of online schools like Skyeng is the opportunity to learn new things to children and adults in a simple game form. We are confident that the topic of safe transactions will not leave indifferent both students and teachers of the school, and all of them will be able to pump digital hygiene skills at the same time with language skills", - said Natalia Yumatova, Avito's Director of Trust and Security.
Skyeng senior IT security manager Irina Kekeleva added that today technology has penetrated almost all spheres of life. "In such conditions, using the Internet safely is no less important than locking the door at home. We are glad that with the help of our joint lesson many people will be able not only to learn new vocabulary, but also to improve their digital literacy. Today this knowledge is more relevant than ever," Kekeleva emphasized.
