Kovdor District is considered one of the interesting and mysterious places in the western part of the Kola Peninsula. Several years ago on the territory of Kovdor were discovered fragments of the most ancient civilization, which, according to some historians, can be qualified as Hyperborean.
A number of municipalities in the Murmansk region introduced a tourist tax as early as January 1. These are, in particular, Teriberka, Murmansk and Kirovsk, which are popular with tourists.
Earlier "Izvestia" wrote that the regions will be able to change the rate of tourist tax depending on the season. The right to differentiate the size of the levy is conditioned by climate and socio-economic features of places.
