In Stavropol, a local resident smothered her four-month-old daughter with a pillow. This was reported by a source of Izvestiya on February 11.

According to the interlocutor, the 33-year-old woman smothered the child with a pillow and then tried to settle the score with her life.

The police were contacted by the girl's father, who came home from work and found the body of his daughter.

Police officers arrested the child's mother. A criminal case was initiated against her.

Earlier, on January 13, the source of "Izvestia" reported that a resident of Nizhny Novgorod region killed his wife and child. The man tried to stab his wife, and the child he hit several times on the head with a blunt object. Subsequently, the injured woman was found in the entranceway, the girl's body was in a locked apartment. When the room was opened, the defendant tried to settle scores with his life. The spouses were hospitalized, after the woman died.

On the fact of the incident initiated a criminal case. The man was taken into custody. During interrogation, he confessed to what he had done and specified that the motive of the crime was a conflict with his wife.
