Trade turnover of agricultural products between Russia and India has increased by more than 60% in 2024. This was announced by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev on February 11.

"Trade in agricultural products and food between Russia and India is growing rapidly. Thus, last year the trade turnover of agro-industrial products increased by more than 60%," he said during a working meeting with Indian Ambassador to Russia Vinay Kumar.

In addition, Deputy Prime Minister noted that the Russian Federation intends to continue the development of trade relations with India.

Thus, Russia is ready to increase exports of vegetable oils, livestock and fish products, wheat and leguminous crops, as well as interested in imports of fruits and vegetables from the republic, Patrushev added.

On February 10, Russian Ambassador to Brazil Alexei Labetsky said that trade turnover between Russia and Brazil reached $12 billion. He said that more than 30% of the Brazilian fertilizer market is supplied from Russia, which is the basis of the Russian-Brazilian trade turnover.

Earlier, February 5, Patrushev said that in 2024, trade turnover of agricultural products between Russia and Belarus increased by 15%, exceeding $8 billion. Deputy Prime Minister noted that the Russian Federation hopes to maintain the positive trend.
