Chernyshenko reported on the government's work on the model of new primary vocational education

The Russian government is working on a model of new initial vocational education. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko on February 11.

"Now, in accordance with the order, the government is working on a model of new initial vocational education," he said at the government hour in the State Duma.

Chernyshenko specified that it is proposed to provide training in the most priority professions for the regions on the basis of colleges and local organizations. In this case, the term of training is set from two to six years with mandatory practical training.

Earlier, on February 6, Russian President Vladimir Putin called to raise the requirements for admission of applicants to pedagogical universities.
