- Fraudsters tricked an actress into giving them an apartment in the center of Moscow

Fraudsters have deceived 82-year-old theater and film actress Elena Tsorn, forcing her to hand over an apartment in central Moscow to them, a source told Izvestia on February 11.
Between September 3 and September 16, 2024, the fraudsters called the actress at home, convincing the woman that her property and savings were under threat. As a result, Zorn, succumbing to their tricks, signed a life annuity contract for an apartment.
"The contract for the apartment was concluded for the sum of 14 million rubles. Also the fraudsters convinced the actress to give 180 thousand rubles," - said the source.
Now law enforcement officials are establishing the amount of damage caused by the actions of fraudsters.
On the same day, the source of "Izvestia" reported that in Moscow, fraudsters swindled a 91-year-old pensioner out of more than 16 million rubles, convincing him that employees of the district department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are envoys from Ukraine, who work for the U.S. State Department. A criminal case was opened over the incident, and a 19-year-old was detained.
