A power failure occurred at Russia's largest traffic exchange point in Moscow, which could cause temporary problems in the work of telecom operators. This was reported in the press service of Roskomnadzor (RKN) on February 11.

"At Russia's largest point of inter-operator Internet traffic exchange MMTS-9 on Butlerova Street, 7 in Moscow on February 11 in the morning there was a short-term power failure. <...> Temporary difficulties may have arisen for some telecom operators," the agency said in a statement quoted by TASS.

It is specified that the problems with power supply affected not the entire node, so there was no mass disruption of services and traffic sag.

Earlier, on January 31, the RCN reported that they recorded a surge of complaints from subscribers about the work of Rostelecom. There was a short-lived failure in the data network in Chuvashia, and therefore the operator's customers in the region could have difficulty accessing the network for 15-20 minutes.
