Pskov region triples exports of pork and fish

Enterprises of the Pskov region from January 1 to January 31, 2025 sent 110 batches of fish and livestock products for export. This was reported on Tuesday, February 11, by the press service of the North-West Interregional Department of Rosselkhoznadzor.

The total mass of goods amounted to 2.7 thousand tons, which is three times more than in the same period a year earlier (912 tons). The products were sent to seven countries of the world, writes Pskov newswire.

Thus, 72 batches of pork, 27 batches of pork by-products and one batch of finished pork products with a total weight of 2.69 thousand tons were sent to Vietnam, Hong Kong, China, Georgia, Serbia and Azerbaijan. Another eight batches of chilled fish and fish products weighing 7.9 tons were exported to Estonia, two batches of canned fish - to Georgia and Azerbaijan.

In the course of registration of veterinary certificates, employees of the agency made sure that all the goods are fully compliant with sanitary requirements and safety standards of importing countries.

Earlier in February, the Ministry of Agriculture reported that by the end of 2024 in Russia increased production of milk, yogurt and ice cream. The growth was facilitated by the annual increase in the raw material base, including through the implementation of large investment projects.
