The main house of Tretyakov's estate was restored in Moscow

In the center of Moscow completed a comprehensive restoration of the main house of Nikolai Tretyakov's estate. This was reported by the head of the Moscow City Heritage Alexei Emelyanov on February 10.
The building on Suschevskaya Street is an architectural monument. The stone annex is made in the style of neoclassical art nouveau. For more than 100 years it houses the Bogolyubov Art Library - the oldest of the capital's reading rooms, according to the Moscow City News Agency. The restoration started in 2023. During this time, specialists returned the building to its historical appearance: they restored the interiors of 1891-1892, including the bas-reliefs of griffins above the main entrance, the ceiling of the lobby, oak panel parquet, as well as ceiling moldings and historical sockets, RT writes.
The building was equipped with an automatic fire alarm system, notification and evacuation control system, which are necessary for the safe operation of the library, notes "Moscow 24".
Also, the part of the building that is not a cultural heritage object was put in order, reports NSN. The interiors were renewed, engineering systems, facades and roofing were repaired. The building was also adapted for immobile citizens.
The XIX century mansion was built by architects Lev Dahl and Adolf Erichson. In 1877 the house was purchased by Nikolai Bogolyubov, an active State Councillor, who acted on behalf of his brother Alexei Bogolyubov, a famous painter, collector and patron of art. Then the monument passed into the ownership of the graphic artist, muralist and painter Nikolai Tretyakov. The library in the mansion appeared in 1919 at the Suschevsko-Maryinsky club of workers. In 1996 it was named after Bogolyubov.
At the end of January the mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin told that more than 30 monuments of architecture in the next three years will be put in order in the Moscow estate Kuzminki. Restorers are already working on 19 objects.
Also on February 10, it became known that the restored pavilion "Glavtabak" at VDNH will open by the end of 2025. Above the building will reappear decorative spire, and above the entrance - restored according to the sketches of architects emblem with gilding, notes 360.ru.
