Oncologist names average age at cancer detection in Russia

There is no "rejuvenation" of oncologic diseases in Russia, and the average age of cancer detection is 65 years old. Andrei Kaprin, Director General of the NMRC of Radiology, chief freelance oncologist of the Ministry of Health of Russia, told RIA Novosti in an interview on February 11.

"As for the issue of "rejuvenation" of oncologic diseases, despite individual cases, we do not see a significant increase in morbidity among the young population," the doctor said.

He added that the average age of detection of the disease is kept at the mark of 65 years.

Earlier, on February 6, deputy chief physician for oncology of Odintsovo Regional Hospital, chief oncologist of the Ministry of Health of the Moscow region, candidate of medical sciences Ivan Kaprin told about two main rules that help in the treatment of oncology.
