A magnitude 5.0 earthquake struck off the coast of Greece


An underwater earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 occurred near the coast of Greece. This was reported on February 11 by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center(EMSC).
It is specified that the origin was located at a depth of 11 km, and the epicenter was located at a distance of 153 km north of the Greek city of Heraklion on the island of Crete with a population of 137 thousand people.
Earlier, on February 9, it was reported that an underwater earthquake with a magnitude of 7.5 occurred off the northern coast of Honduras. It is specified that the epicenter of the disaster was at a depth of 10 km. Approximate coordinates - 82.49 °W 17.62 °N.
