Russia is ready to help strengthen the anti-crisis forces of African countries

Moscow is ready to help strengthen its own anti-crisis potential of African states, the Russian Federation is holding annual courses to train African peacekeepers. This was stated to "Izvestia" by the special representative of the Russian President for the Middle East and African countries, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov.

"We are ready to contribute to the formation of our own anti-crisis forces of African states. Within the framework of bilateral cooperation, Russia holds annual training courses for African peacekeepers in specialized Russian educational organizations. We are always open to cooperation and ready to share experience with our African friends," the diplomat said.

At the same time, the deputy minister emphasized that Russian assistance in this area is provided only at the request of local authorities.

According to Bogdanov, Russia as a permanent member of the UN Security Council makes maximum efforts to resolve the current conflicts and prevent the emergence of new ones, actively working on the platforms of specialized structures of the world organization.

"In addition, we are stepping up joint work with African partners to achieve peace, security, conflict prevention and resolution, and the fight against terrorism," he added.
