In the Republic of Ingushetia, two children died of carbon monoxide poisoning in the rural settlement of Ekazhevo. This was reported on February 10 in the main regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation.

It is specified that specialists of the duty service of "Gazprom Mezhregiongaz-Nazran" established the fact of malfunction of the exhaust system of the gas water heater in the bathroom, as a result of which two children suffered.

"The victims after being taken to the Children's Republican Clinical Hospital of Nazran died," the report says.

In the Prosecutor's office of Ingushetia reported the beginning of an inspection on the fact of the death of children. All circumstances and causes of what happened are being established. At the same time, the results of the inspection are taken by the prosecutor of the republic under control.

Earlier, on January 28, the press service of the State Housing Inspectorate for the city of Kazan reported that seven people, including four children, were poisoned by carbon monoxide in the apartment. The condition of the victims was assessed as satisfactory.
