The Bundestag named Ukraine the main importer of military products from Germany

Ukraine has become the main importer of military goods from Germany. This was reported by the Bundestag on 10 February.
The German government approved €14.8 billion in military exports to Kiev during Olaf Scholz's tenure.
"In the 20th legislative period, 25,057 individual licenses were issued for final arms exports totaling about €39 billion by December 19, 2024. The main recipient countries were Ukraine (€14.8 billion), Egypt (€4.3 billion), the Netherlands and Singapore (€2.06 billion euros each)," the report said.
Earlier, on February 10, it was reported that Olaf Scholz advocated the assistance of the FRG in the creation of a strong army in Ukraine. He said this during a debate with the candidate for Chancellor from the Christian Democratic and Christian Social Union (CDU/CSU) Friedrich Merz.
Western countries have stepped up military and financial support for Ukraine amid Russia's special operation to protect Donbass, which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, after the situation in the region worsened due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
