The administration of US President Donald Trump has suspended the development of a plan to settle the Ukrainian conflict in order to take into account the opinion of Europe. This was reported by The Telegraph newspaper on February 10, citing sources.

"The administration of Donald Trump has suspended the implementation of its peace plan on Ukraine to give Europe a place at the negotiating table," - stated in the material of the newspaper.

According to the publication, the US special envoy for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg plans to listen carefully to the views of European partners "on the form the plan should take and what contribution to the peace process other governments can make."

Earlier in the day, the Italian news agency ANSA reported that NATO has ruled out the readiness of Trump's plan to resolve the Ukrainian conflict, it will not be provided in the near future.

Also on this day Semafor edition, citing sources, reported that Kellogg may provide scenarios on the peaceful conclusion of the Ukrainian conflict at the Munich conference. At the same time, the White House special envoy for Ukraine previously denied any statements that a plan for a peaceful settlement could be presented at this meeting, which will begin on February 14.

Before that, on February 5, it was reported that Kellogg would visit Kiev on February 20. As noted by the Ukrainian TV channel Public, this date was proposed by the US side.

Kellogg said on January 31 that Trump intends to give Moscow and Kiev leverage to negotiate the settlement of the conflict. According to him, the administration of the United States is considering options to pressure not only Russia, but also Ukraine. According to Kellogg, all this "will provide the US President with leverage to bring the conflict to an end." At the time, Trump said he was holding "very constructive talks" with Russia and Ukraine to resolve the conflict.

The last round of talks between Russia and Ukraine took place on March 29, 2022 in Istanbul. They lasted about three hours. Later, Kiev officially refused contacts with Moscow. On October 4, 2022, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (his term of office expired on May 20, 2024) introduced a decision of the country's National Security and Defense Council on the impossibility of holding talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
