Military officer Tasbolat Ibrashev, known for having single-handedly managed to stop the movement of a Georgian convoy in 2008, was killed in the zone of special operations. This is reported on February 10 on the website of the President of South Ossetia.
"Accept deep condolences in connection with the tragic death of Russian serviceman Tasbolat Ibrashev in the zone of the special operation," reads the telegram of the President of the country Alan Gagloev, sent to the family and friends of the Russian serviceman.
Tasbolat Ibrashev is a hero, whose name is forever inscribed in the history of South Ossetia. The President of South Ossetia recalled that in 2008, showing unparalleled courage and selflessness, the serviceman during the hostilities in the country with a machine gun in his hands blocked the way of an entire Georgian military column.
"The bright memory of him and his feat will forever remain in the hearts of the Ossetian people," Gagloev added.
Earlier, on February 2, Governor of Primorsky Krai Oleg Kozhemyako said that the former commander of the Primorsky Krai volunteer unit "Tiger", vice-governor of Primorsky Krai Sergey Efremov died in the zone of a special military operation. The governor recalled that the detachment "Tiger" was formed in Primorye in June 2022 and Efremov became its first commander.
