The Russian Defense Ministry told about the feats of Russian servicemen in the NWO zone

On February 11, the Russian Defense Ministry told about the exploits of Russian servicemen in the zone of the special military operation (SMO).

The ministry noted the merits of Private Ivan Azarkin, who as part of the lead patrol carried out tasks to organize the safe movement of a convoy of Russian servicemen to a specified area. During the movement, the private noticed two unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), which were conducting reconnaissance of the territory along the route of the convoy. Azarkin reported this to his superior, and they decided to direct the convoy to the reserve route.

After that, the private destroyed the enemy drones with targeted fire from his standard weapon. Thanks to Azarkin's actions, the AFU militants failed to open the movement of the convoy, and it arrived in the specified area in a timely manner and without losses.

Also in the agency told about the actions of Captain, Deputy Chief of Staff Alexei Alutin. He was assigned a combat task to organize defense in an important area of terrain in order to prevent an enemy breakthrough in this tactical direction.

The AFU militants tried several times to pass through Alutin's defense line, accompanying their attacks with mass use of FPV drones. Thanks to the competent command of the captain, who himself acted in the most dangerous areas of the enemy's offensive, the Russian servicemen managed to repel the attacks, forcing the enemy to retreat and preventing the loss of personnel. In the course of the task, Alutin personally destroyed several enemy attack aircraft, as well as four FPV drones of the AFU.

Earlier, on February 10, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that an artillery crew of the Msta-S self-propelled artillery unit (SAU) of the Center group of troops destroyed an AFU mortar crew and an ammunition depot on the Krasnoarmeyskoye direction of the special military operation.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
