Ukrainian media reported explosions in Dnipropetrovsk region and Kherson


In Ukraine, explosions have been heard in the towns of Samar (called Novomoskovsk until 2024) in Dnipropetrovsk Region and in Kiev-controlled Kherson. This was reported on February 10 by the Ukrainian publication "Public".
"In Samara in the Dnipropetrovsk region explosions are heard <...> In Kherson explosions are heard again," - stated in a message in the Telegram-channel.
An air alert was declared in Odessa, Mykolayiv, Kirovograd, Chernigov and Sumy regions, according to the online map of Ukraine's digital transformation ministry.
The Russian Defense Ministry did not comment on the information about the explosions.
Earlier in the day, Odessa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov reported that there was an explosion in the city amid the declared air alert.
Russian troops in October 2022 began striking military facilities and related energy and communications facilities in Ukraine. As Russian President Vladimir Putin explained, this was in response to terrorist actions by the Kiev regime.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by the Russian president on February 24, 2022, is ongoing. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
