The Finnish Foreign Ministry has summoned the Russian ambassador because of the alleged violation of the country's airspace by a Russian plane. The ministry announced this on the social network X (former Twitter) on February 10.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Russian ambassador today and demanded explanations about the alleged violation of airspace," the Finnish ministry said.

The alleged airspace violation was reported by the Finnish Defense Ministry's press office on its official website on February 7.

On February 10, broadcaster Yle reported that a British spy plane flew in Finnish airspace. It was specified that the aircraft RC-135W Rivet Join flew from the airbase in Waddington. In Finland, the plane flew from south to north near the Russian border.
