The Ministry of Industry and Trade proposed to introduce mandatory labeling of heating appliances

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has proposed to introduce mandatory labeling of certain heating devices from September 1, 2025. This is evidenced on February 10 by a draft law published by the ministry on the official portal of normative legal acts.

In particular, it will be necessary to mark central heating radiators and their sections, as well as heating convectors.

"To establish that the participants of the turnover of certain types of heating devices <...> submit to the state information system for monitoring the turnover of goods subject to mandatory marking with means of identification <...>, starting from September 1, 2025, but not later than seven calendar days from the date of the need to implement the participant of the turnover of heating devices", - stated in the draft resolution.

The measure should help in the fight against the illegal turnover of heating devices and increase the efficiency of inspections in this area, the ministry said.

From April 1, 2024 to February 28, 2025 there is an experiment on marking individual heating devices. It involves manufacturers of central heating radiators and heating convectors, importers and trade organizations of such devices, specified "Gazeta.Ru".

Earlier in the day, a member of the State Duma Committee on Construction and Housing Alexander Yakubovsky said that Russian citizens from March 1 will pay for heating only in those months when it is supplied to apartments. According to him, in this way the owner will be able to understand whether the amount of payment corresponds to the meter readings.

At the same time, deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Construction and Housing Svetlana Razvorotneva said that payment for heating by the fact instead of uniform payments during the year will make the system of calculations more understandable and transparent. According to her, if you pay 1/12 of the meter during the year, it is impossible to understand how much was actually charged.
