A foreign car driver hit four pedestrians in Yakutsk

In Yakutsk, four pedestrians were injured in a hit-and-run accident. The traffic police is conducting an investigation into the incident.

According to YakutiaMedia IA, on February 10, a 51-year-old driver of a Toyota Probox car drove through the intersection of Lenin Avenue and Ammosova Street at a prohibited traffic signal. As a result, he hit pedestrians who were crossing the road on a green light.

Three victims were taken to hospital. One pedestrian was treated on the spot.

Over the past weekend on the roads of Russia there were 352 accidents, in which 42 people were killed and 491 people were injured. As a result of 92 accidents, nine pedestrians were killed and 89 others were injured.
