In Colombia, four soccer players died after being struck by lightning

Four female soccer players taking part in a regional tournament in Colombia were killed as a result of a lightning strike. This was reported on February 10 by the Colombian portal Cauca Hoy on its Facebook page (owned by Meta Corporation, recognized as extremist and banned in Russia)

It is specified that the incident occurred during a tournament in the village of El Real. In total, the lightning strike killed five people - the fifth victim was a man who died already in the hospital.

Two more female victims were hospitalized in serious condition.

Earlier, on February 7, it was reported that at least three children died and 16 others were injured as a result of a lightning strike that hit a school in western Burundi. The tragedy occurred in the middle of the school day.
