SWM car brand announced plans for the Russian market

Shineray Motors Rus, which represents the Italian-Chinese automobile brand SWM in Russia, has announced that it plans to develop it and bring new models to the market. This is stated in the statement of the company's general director Vyacheslav Galuzinsky, which was received by Izvestia on February 10.

Thus, in the near future SWM plans to introduce in Russia an updated model G01F, which will receive a modernized interior and a new powertrain. The new model G03F is at the final stage of certification. Initially, its release in Russia was announced in the spring of last year, then the premiere was postponed several times and never took place.

According to Galuzinsky, Shineray Motors Rus sees its cars "in the budget price segment, which will be available to the general public".

Now the SWM brand is represented in Russia by three mid-size crossovers - G01, G01F and G05Pro. According to "Avtostat Info", last year in Russia were sold 1738 cars brand SWM, of which almost 1.5 thousand units - is a model G01F. SWM cars are produced at the plant "Avtotor" in the Kaliningrad region.

Earlier in the day it was reported that electric cars of Xiaomi Auto may officially appear on the Russian market. Now its models can be sold in Russia only through the "gray" channel to individuals without system technical support, regular software updates and official warranty.
