A nutritionist told about the daily norm of bread consumption


Bread is an important healthy food, but white bread is the least useful and it is better to refuse from its daily consumption. This was told on February 10 by nutritionist, endocrinologist, candidate of medical sciences Oksana Mikhaleva.
"According to normative documents, the norm of bread consumption for healthy adults is 100 g of wheat and 150 g of rye daily. That is, answering the question of whether you can eat bread daily - yes, you can, if there are no contraindications. But from the daily use of white bread is better to refuse," - said the expert in conversation with "Gazeta.Ru".
Mikhaleva specified that bread may be contraindicated in case of allergy to gluten or its intolerance. Also from the use of wheat product may have to give up in diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. In such cases, the doctor recommended using dried white bread in limited quantities.
In addition, the nutritionist urged Russians to familiarize themselves with the composition of bread before buying it. Recently, fats have been added to it, namely sunflower seeds, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, which significantly increase the caloric content of the product, explained Mikhaleva.
The doctor noted that rye, bran, second-grade wheat, whole-grain and multigrain bread is recommended for a healthy diet. The healthiest breads are whole wheat flour bread and rye bread.
The specialist added that bread contains fiber, vitamins, minerals, proteins, gluten and starch - the main source of energy for the body.
The day before, February 9, cardiologist and functional diagnostics doctor of the European Medical Center (EMC) Rashid Songurov said that excessive consumption of sweet drinks causes more than 1.1 million cases of cardiovascular diseases worldwide every year. According to him, one glass of grape or apple juice can contain up to half of the daily allowance of sugar.
