Russia's regions with the most affordable gasoline are named

Ai-92 gasoline is most affordable for residents of Moscow, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District and Chukotka. This is reported in the study "RIA Novosti" on February 10.
To compile the rating, the volume of Ai-92 gasoline, which can be purchased by residents of different regions of the country on their average monthly salaries, was calculated. The price of gasoline as of December last year was used in the calculations. According to analysts, since December 2023, Ai-92 has risen in price by 9.8% in the country as a whole - the average price amounted to 55.18 rubles.
Thus, residents of Moscow, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District and Chukotka Autonomous District, can buy more than 2 thousand liters of gasoline Ai-92 per month on an average salary. In the Nenets Autonomous Okrug and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug - more than 1.9 thousand liters. The sixth place is occupied by the Magadan region (1.88 thousand liters). Murmansk region, Kamchatka Krai and St. Petersburg, where the indicator did not exceed 1.7 thousand liters, as well as Sakhalin region (1.58 thousand liters) closed the top ten.
The Karachay-Cherkess Republic (722 liters), the Kabardino-Balkar Republic, the Republic of Dagestan, the Chechen Republic and the Republic of Ingushetia (625 liters) rounded out the rating of regions. The all-Russian level amounted to 1.34 thousand liters of gasoline per one salary.
Fuel Ai-92 in December 2024 cost more than Br60 per liter in eight regions, but in most of them you can buy more than 1.5 thousand liters of gasoline for an average monthly salary. In 54 regions, the cost of gasoline has increased by an amount exceeding the inflation rate in Russia by the end of 2024, analysts said.
February 7, auto expert Igor Serebryakov said that, according to a number of studies, due to the use of gasoline with a higher octane number (for example, Ai-98 instead of Ai-92), the increase in power can be about 7%, while fuel consumption can be reduced by about 6%. However, using fuel with a higher octane number than recommended by the manufacturer can cause serious damage to the engine, he warned.
