The case was brought against three businessmen for embezzlement in the state defense order

In Kaliningrad region, a case has been opened against the heads of firms that spent 300 million rubles intended for the construction of facilities of the Ministry of Defense. This was reported on February 10 in the press service of the Main Military Investigation Directorate (MID) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation.

"Military investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case against the heads of LLC Komplitstroy Group and LLC Atenon Alexander Arkhipov, Artem Evdokimov and Mikhail Maslennikov, who are suspected of abuse of authority in the performance of the state defense order, committed by an organized group (paragraph "a" of part 2 of article 201.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)", - stated in the message of the department in Telegram-channel.

According to the investigation, the Russian Ministry of Defense signed contracts worth 900 million rubles for the construction of facilities in the Kaliningrad region, the execution of which involved these firms. In 2023-2024, the three managers spent 300 million rubles for purposes that were not related to the contracts, which caused damage to the state on a particularly large scale.

The investigation in this case is under control of the State Investigation Committee of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

Earlier, on January 27, the criminal case against the general director of the commercial organization Tatyana Alyabieva and eight other co-defendants who committed embezzlement on defense contracts of the Ministry of Defense in 20 regions of the country was sent to the Moscow court. The defendants are charged with fraud, abuse of authority in the performance of state defense contracts, and organizing or participating in a criminal association.
