Salaries of lawyers in Russia increased by 10% over the year


In Russia, lawyers' salaries have increased by 10% over the year. This is stated in the results of a study by the Sovet legal group and analysts of the hh.ru service, which were presented to Izvestia on February 11. Legal advisers turned out to be the most demanded specialists in jurisprudence.
The demand for legal advisors by the beginning of 2025 amounted to 4488 vacancies. The median salary for the year increased by 7.6% - from Br61.4 thousand to Br66.1 thousand.
The demand for tax lawyers increased most significantly - it grew by 19.4% over 12 months. In the first month of 2025 the number of vacancies for this position amounted to 43 places, and the median salary was one of the highest among the specialists of the region - Br90 thousand, which is 10% higher than last year's figure.
The highest paid employees turned out to be lawyers advising on international law and intellectual property. The salary of such specialists reached Br100 thousand by the beginning of 2025. Over the year, the payment increased by 10.5 and 6.3% respectively. The demand for specialists in this field has also increased: the number of offers has increased by 12.8%, and for intellectual property - by 17.7%.
Also over the last year the earnings of specialists in land and property relations have significantly increased. By January this year, it increased by 14.5% and amounted to Br87.9 thousand. In 2024, the average number of vacancies per month was equal to 546, and in January 2025 this figure amounted to 547.
Earlier, February 10, it was reported that in 2025, nominal wages will grow by 12.5%, while the real (that is, adjusted for inflation) - only by 3.3%. This follows from the results of the February macroeconomic survey of the Russian Central Bank, which were studied by Izvestia. The regulator used the answers of 27 economists for the calculation. Their estimate is twice lower than the September forecast of the Ministry of Economic Development, which assumes an increase in real earnings by 7% in 2025.
