In Yamal, a two-year-old child died after swallowing 18 small magnets. This was reported in the Ministry of Health of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District on February 10.

It is specified that the child was admitted to Gubkinskaya hospital in a serious condition. Doctors promptly carried out diagnosis and resuscitation measures.

"Doctors did everything possible, but, unfortunately, it was not possible to save the child," - stated in the message of the agency.

The circumstances of the incident are clarified by law enforcement officials.

Earlier, on January 21, in the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Moscow region reported that doctors saved a six-month-old boy who swallowed 130 magnets and a lithium battery. According to Alexander Inozemtsev, head of the endoscopic department, the foreign objects were removed as a result of a successful operation.
