NATO doubts Trump's termination of military aid to Ukraine

TheUSA under its President Donald Trump will not stop military support for Ukraine. This was reported by the head of NATO's military committee, Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, in an interview with the Corriere della Sera newspaper on February 10.
"I don't think America will completely block military aid to Ukraine. It could perhaps reorganize it, revise it, but not cancel it. We know it is a key partner, but let's not forget that European support is already dominant, with significant contributions from Sweden, Finland, the Netherlands, Canada and the UK," he said.
Trump is already reviewing support programs, he said. The head of NATO's military committee suggests that the American leader will definitely not cancel them, but possibly reduce them, and then Europe will have an opportunity to reconsider its arms policy.
Earlier, on February 3, Trump said that in exchange for financial and military assistance, Washington expects Ukraine to guarantee supplies of rare earth metals. He emphasized that the United States would require the EU to increase funding for Kyiv's support.
Western countries have stepped up military and financial support for Ukraine amid Russia's special operation to protect Donbas, which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, after the situation in the region worsened due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
