A criminal case has been opened in Moscow over the hospitalization of IVF patients


A criminal case has been opened in Moscow over the fact of hospitalization of several patients of the private clinic "Ya Zdorovova" due to sepsis after IVF procedure. This was reported on February 10 by the Main Department of the Moscow IC of Russia.
"In connection with the incident Simonovsky inter-district investigative Department of the investigative Department for the Southern Administrative District of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the city of Moscow initiated a criminal case", - stated in the Telegram-channel of the agency.
It is noted that at the moment investigators are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
On the eve, February 10, it became known that after the IVF procedure five women were urgently hospitalized in an infectious disease hospital with fever of unclear genesis, angiogenic sepsis. The clinic's work was suspended.
On February 9, the Department of Health of Moscow confirmed the admission to the hospitals of women who were hospitalized after IVF procedure in a private clinic. It was noted that two patients are in serious condition. All the victims are provided with a full range of medical care. On the same day, Roszdravnadzor reported that it will check the quality of medical care to the hospitalized.
The husband of one of the victims told Izvestia that his wife is in an induced coma and is connected to an artificial lung ventilation (ALV) machine. He suggested that this situation may not have happened by chance, as the same symptoms are observed in several women who also underwent IVF treatment at this clinic.
