Lenin's Mausoleum to close for preventive maintenance for two months


Lenin's Mausoleum will be closed for preventive maintenance, which will last two months. This was reported by TASS on February 10 with reference to the Federal Security Service (FSO) of the Russian Federation.
It is specified that the structure will be closed on February 18. Its opening after the works is scheduled for April 14.
Scheduled preventive maintenance is carried out in the Mausoleum once every two years.
Earlier, January 21, 2024, in Sechenov University told "Izvestia" how scientists managed to preserve the body of the leader of the world proletariat Vladimir Lenin (Ulyanov). First, the famous pathologist, head of the Department of Pathological Anatomy of Sechenov University, Professor Alexei Abrikosov conducted temporary embalming. The same method was used after the decision on further preservation of the body.
