In Chelyabinsk, police officers detained the director of South Ural State University (SUSU) on suspicion of abuse of power. About it on February 10 reports the investigative Department of the IC for the Chelyabinsk region in Telegram-channel.
It is specified that from September 10, 2018 to September 4, 2020, the suspect demanded from the head of one of the departments of the Institute to transfer to him a part of the money received. After that, the employee, fearing the consequences transferred to the director part of his salary in the total amount of at least 590 thousand rubles.
"At present, investigators of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of Russia conducted search operations at the places of residence and work of the suspect, the question of charging him and choosing a measure of restraint is being decided," - stated in the statement.
A criminal case has been opened against him under para. "e" part 3 of article 286 ("Exceeding official powers out of selfish and other personal interest").

It was specified that the attackers to conceal the unsuccessful results of the company's economic activity took actions to reclassify financial obligations. As a result, they provided inaccurate data on the allegedly satisfactory financial situation of the company. As a result, the state had to allocate over 43 billion rubles to the corporation in 2022-2024.
