Rosseti told about the tasks in the grid complex of the Kaliningrad Region

"Russian Grids will continue to work on developing the electric grid infrastructure of the Kaliningrad Region. The volume of investments in the region in 2025 will amount to 5 bln rubles. This became known following a meeting between Governor Alexei Besprozvannykh and the company's CEO Andrei Ryumin.
It was noted that the withdrawal of the Baltic states from the BRELL energy ring had no effect on the reliability of the Kaliningrad region's power grids. "ROSSETI has taken all measures in advance in case such a scenario materializes. The company's facilities are fully prepared to operate in the energy "island" mode.
"Strengthening the energy security of the Kaliningrad Region is a priority state task. "ROSSETI took an active part in its solution. The result was the modernization of the network and commissioning of new capacities, which are also important for the stable growth of the region's economy and social sphere," Ryumin said. According to him, the company continues to work on the development of infrastructure for power supply of new high-tech industries, residential complexes, tourist clusters. The volume of investments for 2025 is estimated at 5 billion rubles, emphasized the head of the energy company.
As Besprozvannykh emphasized, energy security and stable development of the Kaliningrad region is an unconditional priority. The region sees Rosseti's active participation in infrastructure modernization. "We are confident that joint work will continue to allow us to ensure uninterrupted power supply for all residents and enterprises," the governor said.
The company plans to complete several major projects, including the expansion of the 110 kV Kosmodemyanskaya substation in Kaliningrad. Its capacity will increase by more than 20% - up to 50 MVA. This will make it possible to improve the reliability of power supply to the city's central districts and provide energy to new consumers, Rosseti explained. In addition, the group has started implementation of the 2025 repair program. It is planned that about 2 thousand km of power lines will be modernized in the region, the equipment of 19 substations 110-330 kV and 531 transformer substations will be renewed. The total cost of the work is RUB 637 mln.
