The FSB officers revealed and suppressed the illegal activities of lawyers of the chambers of Ingushetia, North Ossetia-Alania and Rostov region, who were involved in bribing an official through an intermediary. This was reported on February 10 in the FSS of Russia in the Republic of Ingushetia.
It was established that in the period from March to April 2023, the lawyers planned to transfer a bribe for the issuance of "knowingly favorable to third parties appeal decisions on administrative offenses and criminal offenses" to the judge of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Sergei Boychuk.
Thus, he was handed over 250 thousand rubles, which is estimated as a significant amount of bribe.
A criminal case was opened against Boychuk under Part 4 of Article 290 ("Receiving a bribe by a person holding public office"), Part 2 of Article 291 ("Giving a bribe to an official through an intermediary in a significant amount"), Part 1 of Article 291.1 of the Criminal Code ("Mediation in bribery").
The day before, the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of the Kaliningrad region reported about the detention in custody in the bribery case of the head of the administration of the Baltic city district Sergei Melnikov and his deputy Maxim Kovalenko. It is specified that both are arrested until April 7.
