The media told about the financial preparation of Russians for old age

The majority of Russian residents do not prepare financially for life in retirement. This was reported on February 10 by RBC with reference to the study of the pension fund "Evolution", conducted jointly with the Financial University under the Government of Russia.
The study involved 2 thousand respondents aged 25 to 45 years old.
"Although 99% of respondents would like to live in prosperity at retirement, 89% answered negatively to the question "are you preparing from a financial point of view to ensure the desired pension?"" - stated in the material.
It is noted that 43% of respondents count on the state pension and only 27% are ready to live on their own savings. In addition, more than half of respondents hope for help from relatives and children.
The researchers also drew attention to the growing number of young people who consider the state pension as their financial basis in old age. If in 2021 among young people there were less than 10% of such respondents, in the new study about the hopes for pension payments from the state said 44% of respondents aged 25 to 34 years.
Earlier in the day it was reported that the deputies of the State Duma from LDPR headed by the head of the Committee on social policy Yaroslav Nilov will introduce a bill in Parliament on the recalculation of insurance pensions to working pensioners based on the maximum individual pension coefficient (IPK). The authors propose that from August 1, the old-age insurance pension for working pensioners will be recalculated based on a coefficient of 10, not three, as it is now.
January 10, it became known that about 43% of respondents believe that financial goals should be discussed regularly or at least once every few months. This was stated in a study by VTB Bank.
February 1, indexation of social payments and insurance pensions came into force - it was brought to 9.5%. By the same figure indexed and the amount of maternity capital. The maximum payment will now amount to Br912 thousand.
