Mexico City will host the Russia-Mexico Business Forum for the first time

On April 3, 2025 in the capital of Mexico, Mexico City, the first Russia-Mexico business forum will be held. Mexico City will host the Russia-Mexico Business Forum for the first time. The forum will be an important milestone in strengthening commercial ties between the business communities of Russia and Mexico and will bring together more than 150 representatives of medium and large businesses, business associations and government agencies. The organizer of the Russia-Mexico Business Forum will be the Roscongress Foundation under the Roscongress International brand. The event will be held with the support of the Trade Mission of the Russian Federation in the United Mexican States and the National Chamber of Processing Industry of Mexico (CANACINTRA), an agreement with which was signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) in 2024.

"Mexico is one of Russia's key Latin American partners in both regional and international affairs. On December 11 this year, Russia and Mexico will celebrate the 135th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. There is a great interest in cooperation with our country on the part of the Mexican business community. Russian companies, in turn, are interested in such cooperation in the medical sphere, in the sphere of natural resources extraction, in the use of renewable energy sources, as well as in tourism and other areas. It is also worth paying attention to the cooperation of certain Mexican states with Russian regions. All this confirms the timeliness of such a business forum and allows us to count on its success and its role in the further development of Russian-Mexican relations", - emphasized Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation.

The program of the business forum will cover the main areas of cooperation between Russia and Mexico. The participants will discuss the prospects of cooperation between Russia and Mexico in trade and investment cooperation, in high-tech areas (energy, digitalization, information and communication technologies, pharmaceuticals), in science and culture. The Mexican audience will also be presented the Roscongress Foundation ecosystem, including key forums and discussion platforms: St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF, June 18-21), St. Petersburg International Legal Forum (SPILF, May 19-21), Russian Energy Week (REN, October 15-17), Eastern Economic Forum (EEF, September 3-6), International Tourism Forum "Travel!" (June 10-15).

To discuss practical aspects of Russian-Mexican business cooperation, a webinar will be held on February 19, 2025, organized by the Roscongress Foundation together with the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RUIE) and the Trade Mission of the Russian Federation in the United Mexican States. The webinar will cover the details of the upcoming business forum and will also include a presentation by Alexander Abramov, Trade Representative of Russia in Mexico, on the peculiarities of doing business in Mexico.

The Russia-Mexico Business Forum promotes Russia's business and investment potential in Mexico. The Russian-Mexican business dialogue is planned to continue within the program of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which will be held on June 18-21.
