The Russian government is going to consider amendments and change dozens of laws to combat fraudsters. This was reported by RBC on February 10 with reference to the document.

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko shared with the publication that the government has analyzed the most common fraudulent schemes. Based on the results of such a study, measures were developed to protect citizens.

"As a result, citizens will have access to a wide range of tools that will help them to protect themselves from phone and Internet fraud," he shared.

It is noted that, in particular, the documents concern the use of foreign messengers for official communication or socializing, the list of which will later be formed by Roskomnadzor. In this case, domestic platforms for official communication citizens will be able to use only after confirmation through the Unified System of Identification and Authentication (USIA).

In addition, it is proposed to oblige the owners of marketplaces and aggregators of goods and services with an audience of more than 200 thousand to conduct through the ESIA identification of persons who intend to place an ad for sale.

It is specified that the possible protection measures include marking calls from organizations, the right of subscribers to refuse advertising calls and mailings, the obligation of the mobile operator to send messages about third-party attempts to change access to the ESIA. It is also proposed to establish a ban on the conclusion of a contract for the provision of cellular services without personal presence online and other measures through "Gosusgoservices".

According to RBC, the representative of the Ministry of digitization, among other things, confirmed the development of a set of measures to reduce cyber fraud.

Earlier, on February 5, the department for combating the illegal use of information and communication technologies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation reported about the creation of a scheme by fraudsters, in which as part of employment demand a lump-sum payment of personal income tax under the pretext of "authentication" or "registration" in the employer's system.
